Renovating a 1970s Home in Nashua NH

Restoring a home from the 1970s is not just about renovation — it’s about listening to the house.

When we began this project in Nashua, we quickly realized that every corner had a story to tell. The original cabinetry, the bold wallpaper coverings, the details that once defined the style of the era — all of it deserved thoughtful consideration.

In a renovation like this, the challenge is not simply replacing what is old. It’s understanding what is worth preserving. Some elements carry the soul of the home and deserve to remain. Others need to be updated to bring comfort, functionality, and a fresh sense of life to the space.

Bathrooms, for example, are where careful updates can make the biggest difference — blending modern comfort with the spirit of the original home.

Restoring a 1970s home requires patience, vision, and respect for its character. Every decision becomes a balance between past and present.

This project has been a beautiful journey, and I can’t wait to show you the behind-the-scenes process — the discoveries, the challenges, and the design decisions that shaped this transformation.

Stay tuned.

Before the house was not cohesive and we wanted to change that!

We really brightened up the whole home.

In the bathroom, we added a double vanity with fresh lighting.  The walls got a fresh coat of paint and new green tiles making the space a perfect sanctuary.  Modern decorations helped bring the space together.

The kitchen, the heart of the house, received. fresh paint and a new backlash.  The floors were renovated with new tiles.  The hardwares were updated.

We are super excited to share the furnished and decorated photos with you.
